Challenge
The owners of this house, who already had experience with Alexa, aimed for a complete Smart Home. After extensive research and visiting exhibitions, they became aware of the Clever2Smart showroom. The owners were immediately convinced and wanted to benefit from the advantages of Loxone intelligent home and building automation.
Solution
In this prefabricated house, particular emphasis was placed on the intelligent control of lighting, shading, heating, multiroom audio and access control.
The LED Spots provide the general lighting in the house and offer a unique lighting experience with their natural color rendering and dimming function. In addition, LED strips provide indirect light, which is a big favourite of the residents. Thanks to the integrated Presence Sensor, the lighting is activated exactly where someone is. Additional lighting moods can be added at any time using the Loxone App to create the right atmosphere for every occasion. The “night light” function is particularly appreciated by the residents: a LED strip installed in the handrail in the stairwell gently illuminates the path at night.
In addition to sun protection, automatic shading also ensures privacy and maximum energy efficiency. Residents no longer have to worry about whether the blinds are down. The current position of the sun is recorded and the system controls the automated shading accordingly. This prevents the rooms from overheating in summer, while the sun rays are used for passive heating in winter.
Access to the house is through the Intercom in combination with the NFC Code Touch. Access rights are easily managed through the Loxone App. The owners like to use this to create day codes for their smoking guests so that they can leave and enter the house at any time without disturbing the residents.
As energy costs keep rising, it’s important to always keep an eye on your power consumption. With Loxone, monitoring and controlling electrical consumers becomes child's play. Monitoring the house when the owners are on vacation is also important for the owners. This is easily done thanks to remote access via the Loxone App. The Presence Simulation feature gives the impression that someone is at home, and can be triggered with just one tap.
Another highlight feature in the house is the ability to fill each room with the same or different music. Volume, playlists and much more can be easily managed using the Loxone App.
