Challenge
The project "Passivhaus Eisenstraße" was realized as a showcase project of the regional exhibition in Lower Austria. The goal was to show how sustainable and innovative it is possible to build a house today - with full Loxone equipment. The showcase project harvests solar energy with solar panels on the roof and as terrace railings. The own electricity production is intelligently integrated into the smart home system with Loxone components. Thus, the self-consumption can be used optimally and energy-saving. The intelligent temperature control via the Loxone Miniserver also plays an important role in the passive house.
Solution
Predefined devices such as washing machines are activated with Smart Socket Air exactly when energy is produced. Unused electricity is automatically stored in a solar battery. If devices are not needed or no one is in the house, devices and lighting are automatically de-energized or switched off. Energy consumption and production can be monitored at any time in the free Loxone Smart Home App. Via 1-Wire temperature sensors in each room, the Loxone Miniserver has the temperature in view at all times and can react accordingly if necessary. In addition, shading, lighting and multimedia were realized with Loxone and numerous security functions were integrated.
