Parish Church Sandl
- Country AT, Sandl
- Build year 1748 (Renoviert 2025)
- Area ca. 350m² m²
- LOXONE partner Hartl Elektrotechnik

Challenge
The individual building services – heating, ventilation, climate control, and lighting – should be optimally configured for churchgoers.
It should be easy for the operator; a smartphone should not be required.
Many different operators.

Solution
Lighting: Motion detectors were specifically chosen, and the operating modes (Sunday Mass, Weekday Mass, Devotional, Movement, Multimedia, etc.) are set automatically. Various accent lighting effects are achieved by mixing in ambient light.
Heating: The underfloor heating is controlled by actuators to maintain the desired temperature.
Pew heating: The pew heating is a very high energy consumer, therefore it is continuously regulated by a thyristor controller.
1. To avoid overloading the electrical grid,
2. It is also temperature-controlled by a heating curve,
3. The pew heating is regulated according to the number of visitors (this works in conjunction with the audio system).
Ventilation: Air is supplied from below via adjustable dampers, and exhausted through windows and a ceiling vent. The system focuses on absolute humidity rather than relative humidity to ensure the paintings, statues, and organ are kept in optimal conditions.
Access via NFC code for authorized users: With valid access, various functions are unlocked in the background that are not available to regular visitors.
Multimedia: Motorized screen; Optoma projector can be operated with a single button. Lighting and audio are automatically adjusted.
Bell control: Several bell sequences have been programmed to control the start, ringing, and decay of the chimes. Some bell sequences are also enabled for remote control to simplify the management of processions.
Multimedia access: Motorized screen; Optoma projector can be operated with a single button.

Loxone is simply well-designed and practical. There wasn't a single area where we had to say, "That's not possible."<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ...
