Multipurpose hall

The building, which dates back to 1968, is used as a festival and sports hall, as is the extension built in 2003 for family celebrations. When the entire electrical system in the old building was being renewed, the electrician suggested a KNX system, and due to the client's automation requirements, Loxone was chosen. The following requirements had to be implemented:



• Automatic lighting inside and outside using motion or presence detectors

• Control of the heating system powered by district heating

• Various operating modes for automatic, sports, events

• Easy-to-understand visualization and remote control

• Consumption logging at events/family celebrations

Most of the lighting is controlled via DALI. When entering the hall through the main entrance, the presence detector controls basic lighting so that you can easily reach the control tablet, where you can select the desired operating mode if necessary. Adjacent rooms such as toilets and changing rooms are also automatically controlled by presence detectors as long as the "Automatic" or "Sport" operating mode is active. Various motion detectors are connected outside, which can intelligently control the outdoor lighting using the "Daylight" variable. Depending on the detectors triggered, all lights that the person could come into are controlled.



The hall is heated according to a schedule for sports operations. For family celebrations, the "Party Mode" can be activated at the touch of a button, which ensures that the heating is on until the next day. By controlling the room via the app, the hall manager has the option of heating up the rooms before they are rented out.



The manager can reset a meter for electricity and water consumption and thus conveniently settle accounts with the tenant at the end of the event.



The "Event" operating mode deactivates all control elements in the event rooms and also switches off most of the automatic lighting. When dusk falls, all of the outside lighting is switched on and the toilet rooms are switched to permanent lighting.
