Challenge

The heart of the hygiene measures is the newly installed ventilation system, which uses eight highly professional CO2 sensors via a CO2 traffic light to continuously monitor the quality of the indoor air and reacts fully automatically to any increase in CO2 levels. The eight associated axial fans and four appropriately dimensioned ceiling fans of the latest design are controlled in such a way that the entire indoor air of over 16,000 cubic meters is exchanged in a filterless process within a very short time. This prevents a health-threatening concentration of viruses in the air and the transmission of disease via aerosols.

Solution

The ventilation technology and sensors were connected via MODBUS. The CO2 traffic light is visualized in the LOXONE App. The heating was controlled by Air actuators in combination with the switching of additional electric heating. The lighting was controlled via DALI control.

We were only able to implement the combination of the various interfaces and individual overall control with LOXONE.
