Challenge
How to install a mini luggage lift in a 3-level villa at minimal cost.
Solution
The Loxone Gen 1 server with integrated KNX allowed us to meet all the requirements. The outputs controlled a winch to move the cabin and lock the landing doors. The inputs retrieved cabin position and limit switch information. The KNX bus enabled the use of 4-button switches to control the cabin and provide visual feedback on its operating status and any faults detected by the server.
The server enabled the programming of fairly complex logic to achieve reliable and precise operation of the project. The ability to natively integrate KNX buttons with LED feedback greatly simplified the control of the entire application.
