Challenge
Control the heating system of a building over 4000m² with multiple circuits, a boiler room, and a substation. Monitor air quality using CO2 readings.
Solution
The difficulty of this project lies in the multitude of interconnected heating circuits. Since some rooms are heated by two different circuits, it is complicated to adjust the temperature uniformly without overheating in all rooms. We therefore chose to monitor all 180 radiators in approximately 70 rooms.
Main equipment chosen:
- Loxone Miniserver + Exospheres
- Eaton PLC + SWD with Modbus to retrieve as much information as possible from the existing installation
- LoRa thermostatic radiator valves to cover as much of the building as possible, from the basement to the 2nd floor
- 2 LoRa/Modbus gateways

Why Loxone for this project?

We benefit from the system's intelligence for automatic heating management based on occupancy and scheduling.

The Baccalaureate and Tertiary building regulations require us to equip this type of building, and given that we are at the beginning of the deployment, it was relevant to install a scalable solution capable of controlling everything.

It was therefore clear that Loxone met our criteria and needs.
