LOXONE retrofit in a single-family home

In a detached house built in 2011, numerous retrofits had been carried out over the years, all of which were isolated solutions. The homeowners thus had numerous apps on their mobile phones, but there was no networking or communication between the individual systems.

The goal was to integrate as many systems as possible into LOXONE and install a fundamental automation logic throughout the house. The majority of the retrofitting was accomplished using Air technology, eliminating the need for any additional wiring.

Roller shutter control throughout the house was enabled by retrofitting Nano IO, and AC Control Air units were installed in the split air conditioning units. Access is now managed via NFC Code Touch, and an intercom provides crystal-clear images from the garden gate. Existing awnings (Somfy), surveillance cameras (HIKVISION), a photovoltaic system (Fenecon), and pool equipment were integrated via digital inputs, Modbus TCP, and HTTP connections. The sprinkler system is also now controlled by LOXONE, and thanks to weather services and a weather station, it operates much more intelligently than before. The old alarm system was completely replaced by LOXONE.
