Lighting System Rescue

A luxury remodeling showroom was struggling with an existing non-functioning Loxone smart LED lighting and control display that was critical for client demonstrations. After assessing the system, it was determined that the issues were isolated to the control cabinet level. The system was hampered by a failed power supply and disorganized, "daisy-chained" low-voltage power distribution. Furthermore, the data communication links between the existing Miniserver Go and the Tree extension were improperly wired using stripped Tree cables rather than proper panel wiring, and the physical Touch Pure Air switch had fallen apart and died.

By coordinating directly with Loxone's support team, we performed a complete cabinet-level rescue without needing to rip out the fixtures or room wiring. We installed a new 24V Loxone power supply and fully rewired the cabinet using proper blue/white and green/white Loxone panel wiring to ensure clean communication between the Miniserver Go, the Tree Extension, and the RGBW 24V Tree Dimmer. To fix the messy power distribution, we integrated terminal blocks to eliminate the power source daisy-chaining. Rather than discarding and replacing the damaged Touch Pure Air device that had fallen apart, we successfully repaired and restored it, reflecting our focus on sustainability and reducing overall e-waste for our clients. Finally, we reprogrammed the system and, per Loxone's recommendation, transitioned the showroom's voice control for a more seamless and reliable integration.
