Challenge
The existing building, equipped with KNX, was increasingly unable to meet the customer's requirements. The limitations of KNX, particularly in the areas of energy management and heating, were addressed by switching to Loxone.
Solution
The heating actuators and temperature measurements were transmitted via a KNX to Loxone gateway. This allowed the Miniserver to actively control the heating system, including sending PWM signals to the actuators.
Visualizing the current heating status and heating variant was also easily implemented with Loxone, eliminating the need to replace all the existing KNX sensors and actuators for the heating system. Energy management was handled entirely through Loxone.

The visualization, automation, and future possibilities convinced the customer to switch from the existing KNX system to Loxone, thereby gaining significantly more options.
