Challenge
Implementation of a state-of-the-art, energy-efficient body and paint center. A single project encompassed everything from the 10 kV house connection to automation and fiber optics. Energy management for a connection with its own transformer station up to 2000 kW. Management of heat pumps with a total output of 685 kW, a 176 kWp PV system, and future charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and the connection of additional buildings. Complete building automation, from lighting and room temperatures to alarm notifications.
Solution
Loxone is the perfect solution here because it allows easy communication with all interfaces.
To implement energy management, Modbus TCP meters were installed at all measuring points, which are queried via Loxone. This will allow, for example, charging stations to be turned down in the future if the heat pump needs its power but there isn't enough PV power, etc. Furthermore, it was important for the customer to see where they were using their electricity in order to optimize their energy consumption. The Modbus query makes it possible to include buildings they plan to connect in the future.
A certified alarm system was required. Here, we installed a Jablotron system and connected it to the Miniserver via RS485.
In the hall, we opted for an industrial style and installed industrial push-button housings, each of which housed a Nano DI Tree to ensure complete control of the lighting.
To control skylights and react to weather conditions, we installed a weather station on the roof.
To make the best possible use of PV power, the Solaredge system was connected via Modbus TCP.
The cooling of the electrical room is achieved via a chilled water air conditioner. This is controlled by Loxone to start the water circulation and adjust the fan.
With Loxone's complete solution, the customer can easily monitor and control their newly constructed building from their desk and identify where they can potentially save money.
