When renovating an outpatient day care facility, it was important to the managing director to use home and building automation that not only controls light and shade, but can also take over energy management and increase the security of the elderly.

The Keba wall boxes in the fleet of 16 electric vehicles are controlled via the intelligent energy management system from Loxone, so that intelligent excess charging is possible in connection with the company's own PV system. The new spot price optimizer also ensures that charging is always carried out with the cheapest electricity price. The Loxone app also visualizes the current status of each wall box on a screen in the garage.



In the main building, lighting, shading and air conditioning are completely controlled via Loxone, and the nursing staff in particular benefit from the simple and uncomplicated control via the Loxone app on a central tablet.



For the safety of the seniors, some features from the Ambient Assisted Living area were implemented with Loxone. All toilets have an emergency button called the Air button, which the seniors can use to inform the nursing staff. This can also happen via a button on the wrist, the Wrist Button Air. In addition, a special logic of the alarm system was implemented: If the seniors leave the building via the main entrance to the street, this is recognized by a door contact and transmitted to the nursing staff with a special sound element - in this case a special doorbell tone - so that they can intervene immediately .
