Challenge
Effective use of PV overproduction for the preparation of domestic hot water in the central technical room of the Hotel building. FVE 55.7kWp, 4x Solax X3 G4 Hybrid 15kW inverter, 3x Solax T58 5.8kWh batteries. DHW tanks (total 4000l) + 3x air-water heat pump + 6x heating unit 6kW)
Solution
Hardware: Miniserver gen.2, ModBUS Extension, A/O Extension, 9x electricity meter for appliances with modBUS output.
In the event of an excess of PV generation, individual loads are switched on gradually (functional block: Energy manager). Part of them is controlled proportionally 0-10V using SSR contactors and part is switched by standard contactors. All production/consumption is displayed in the Loxone energy flow monitor. The system works perfectly (the flow to the grid is less than 0.5% of the total PV production)
