Falkenborgveien 36

Falkenborgveien 36, a modern office building with an area of 9,500 m² in Trondheim, Norway, was developed for several tenants, including Betonmast Trøndelag. The aim of the project was to achieve BREEAM “Very Good” certification, which places high demands on sustainability and energy efficiency. A key challenge was to combine various building systems such as lighting, solar shading, indoor climate control and heating in a seamless automation solution in order to optimize energy consumption and significantly increase comfort for users.

Witana developed a comprehensive building automation system that was specifically tailored to the sustainability goals of the project. Solutions included intelligent lighting control to reduce energy consumption, automated solar shading systems to precisely control heat input, and advanced indoor climate and ventilation systems to ensure optimal air quality and comfortable temperatures. In addition, we implemented efficient heating controls and integrated energy management systems to monitor and optimize the building's energy consumption. These fully integrated systems played a key role in achieving BREEAM Very Good certification and improved both the overall performance of the building and tenant satisfaction.
