Challenge
A transport company that has workshops, offices and a dormitory on its premises. Energy consumption was not monitored in any way. The dormitory was heated by direct heaters without regulation.
Solution
The implemented solution brought the company an overview of all electricity consumption. Measurement is in progress
on Eastron electricity meters and using Modbus Extension, the data is transferred to Loxone, where it is then clearly displayed. Another function of the system is the possibility of automatic or one-time switching of direct heaters in individual rooms in the dormitory, depending on the length of stay of the driver. A Relay Extension was used for this, which then switches the power contactors. A big surprise for the investor was the consumption of the office printer, which we not only measure using the Loxone Smart Socket, but also switch it off according to a pre-set calendar, mainly overnight, which results in great financial savings.

We liked the solution of having everything in one application, both energy monitoring and heating control. At the same time, we welcome the possibility of expanding the system in the future. The Loxone brand handled this perfectly and we are satisfied with the installation.
