Autonomous family house Los Ríos

An autonomous house was proposed for a family of four, which could make the daily decisions of its inhabitants by itself, allowing them to simplify tasks and save; fully automating the climate, thus lowering heating costs; also automating the reuse of wastewater and irrigation, to reduce water consumption during the summer; allowing the doorbell to be answered when away from home to receive parcels and services; and automating the lights achieving a WOW effect.

This one-story, 260-square-meter house welcomes visitors with an interactive façade that invites them to play with different colors and shades of light, preparing guests for a party or to celebrate Christmas or Halloween. At first glance we realize that the lights are an important item in this house: they are all automated, which allows different and unique environments to be created depending on the occasion. In addition, presence sensors and lights from Loxone are used.







The family that lives in it enjoys independent heating circuits per room to achieve greater comfort and energy savings; In addition, they have a mixing valve for the impulsion circuit, achieving even more savings; and when they have guests, the temperature of the accumulation pond varies according to whether there are people outside or not. Ventilation with heat recovery and bypass was also integrated, by modbus, to support the climate in winter and summer; during the year, automatic shading is used according to the season, and in those windows with the most unfavorable orientation, external blinds are used to support climate control and prevent the room from overheating. In this home, the control of the DHW recirculation circuit is activated by the user only when required, avoiding water losses and acting efficiently. In relation to wastewater and irrigation, irrigation levels and times were automated according to the weather station.







In this single-family house, the four inhabitants control access with the Loxone video intercom, in addition, access has been automated with NFC keys, achieving the opening of different sectors remotely for the reception of correspondence or services.
