Old building renovation

The challenge was to equip an old building from the 1970s with state-of-the-art technology to be as energy-efficient as possible.

This involved integrating a photovoltaic system and a heat pump, including a wallbox, into the central energy management system.

We implemented the entire home automation system using LOXONE. This means the heat pump communicates directly with the Miniserver. Based on the heating requirements of each room, the Miniserver calculates the necessary flow temperature and transmits the corresponding value directly to the heat pump.

To support the heating system, the shading is also intelligently controlled – depending on the weather and the position of the sun. This allows for optimal use of solar energy and further increases the system's efficiency.

The photovoltaic system is also directly integrated and contributes to optimal self-consumption. For this, we use, among other things, a wallbox and an immersion heater in the domestic hot water storage tank. This allows us to significantly reduce the cycling of the heat pump compressor, especially in summer.

In addition, the lighting and audio system have been fully integrated to create a maximum living experience. The lighting can be individually adjusted in terms of both brightness and color to suit current moods.

Comprehensive security measures have also been taken: An alarm system with window contacts and an access control solution via NFC code touch provide additional protection and convenience.
