We rely on clear standards to ensure that smart homes, residential buildings and hotels can be optimally adapted to the needs of their occupants. These standards reduce manual actions by up to 50,000 per year. Presence, operation and temperature are crucial factors in making a building intelligent, secure, energy-efficient and comfortable. Our recommendations are based on the experience gained from numerous Loxone installations.
The Must-Haves in Every Room
The following features are essential for smart control in your building.
Presence
The presence of people has a significant influence on the behavior of the room – for example in terms of lighting, security, or heating. We recommend installing at least one Presence Sensor in every room.
Loxone Touch
Everything runs automatically in a smart home. If you do want to intervene, we recommend installing a Touch in every room. This allows you to control lighting, shading and music manually at any time.
Loxone App
The Loxone App is indispensable when it comes to security. In the event of an alarm, you will immediately receive a push notification and can react quickly if necessary.
Room Climate
The perfect interplay of heating, ventilation and cooling is crucial for ensuring comfort in your building. A Touch with an integrated temperature sensor or a Room Comfort Sensor is therefore indispensable.
Shading
Automated shading is an absolute must – both for privacy and for efficient heating or cooling of rooms. All common shading systems can be seamlessly integrated into Loxone.
Audio
The Loxone Audio Server not only provides a first-class music experience in every room, but also offers practical features such as doorbell, text-to-speech, alarm and many other features.
Energy
Energy management is one of the most important issues in any building. With intelligent energy management from Loxone, energy production, consumption and usage can be efficiently optimized.
Open Status
The open status of windows and doors is crucial for numerous features in the building, such as heating and security. With a Door & Window Contact Air, you can monitor this optimally.
Security
Security is a key factor in every building. The security system, which is fully integrated into Loxone, reliably protects residents and buildings from dangers such as burglary, water damage, or fire.

Single Tap
Touching the large button in the middle switches on the lighting or changes the lighting mood. The upper left button raises the blinds, while the lower left button lowers them again. On the right-hand side, you can control the music: one tap upwards increases the volume, one tap downwards reduces it.
Double Tap
When leaving the room, simply double- tap the middle button to switch off the lights and all devices in the room. Double-tap the upper right button to change the music source. To switch off the music again, double-tap the lower right button.
Triple Tap
A special highlight is the “House Off” feature. With a triple-tap, you can put the entire building into sleep mode: the lights switch off, standby devices are disconnected from the power supply, the alarm system is activated – all features can be customized to your individual preferences.
