How does smart access control work?
It replaces traditional keys with NFC chips and cards, codes, or smartphone access. Access permissions are managed centrally and can be flexibly customized. This way, you always know who has access and when.
Can I set a time limit on access rights?
Yes. Access rights can be granted on a permanent basis or for a limited time – for example, for guests, service staff, or employees. Changes can be made centrally at any time.
What happens if I lose my NFC card or tag?
Cards, tags and codes can be easily removed in the app – no technical expertise required. Using the built-in user management feature, you can even deactivate entire user profiles if necessary.
How secure are NFC tags – and can they be hacked?
Security depends on encryption: Unencrypted tags transmit only a simple ID and are easier to copy – which is sufficient for interior doors, common areas, or lockers. Encrypted tags, on the other hand, are protected against copying by cryptographic methods. For anything related to security – such as the main entrance, the server room, or arming the alarm system – you should therefore consistently use encrypted tags.
Can a fingerprint sensor be integrated?
Yes. Biometric access solutions can also be integrated – provided that the third-party device has a suitable interface through which authorization information can be transmitted to the Miniserver.
Can I manage multiple buildings or locations?
