A holiday villa in sunny Benissa needed to be equipped with a reliable and fully automated system that would guarantee both comfort and security, even when the residents were away. Access for maintenance staff had to be controlled and flexible, while energy management, climate control and pool technology had to work seamlessly together. The desire to achieve as much self-consumption as possible with solar energy and battery storage also required a sophisticated, smart solution. Finally, the home had to be ready both technically and aesthetically to guarantee a high-quality and relaxing holiday experience – at any time of the day.

This holiday villa in Benissa, Spain, is equipped with a fully integrated Loxone solution that perfectly combines comfort, security and energy efficiency – both when residents are present and absent.



Smart access control:

The intercom in combination with the NFC Code Touch ensures safe and controlled access to the property. Both residents and maintenance personnel can operate the electric gate and door lock via this system. When entering or leaving the home, the correct mode is automatically activated: presence or absence. This activates the following functions, among others:



- Automatic activation or deactivation of the alarm system.

- Switching lighting on or off.

- Control of ventilation and heating based on occupancy.



Advanced energy management:

The home makes optimum use of renewable energy thanks to smart control:



- The boiler is heated with solar energy.

- The swimming pool is only heated when there is an energy surplus.

- When the mains voltage is low, the battery system is automatically switched on, temporarily disconnecting the electricity grid.



The battery system also contributes to maximum self-consumption of locally generated energy.



Water management & quality:

Thanks to precise measurements and automation, the water level and water quality of the pool are continuously monitored and adjusted, so that residents can always count on perfect swimming comfort.



Music & communication in every room:

The Audioserver provides every room with suitable music. In addition, the doorbell, alarm system and alarm clock are fully integrated, so that residents are informed of what is happening in and around the home wherever they are.



Lighting adapted to the time of day:

Presence Sensors ensure automatic lighting control. The atmospheres adapt to the time of day, with warm evening atmospheres for extra cosiness. Outdoor lighting switches on at sunset or when movement is detected.
