Challenge
In this property, the grounds are just as important as the house: multiple pools, large terraces, and a sprawling outdoor area that's used for a significant portion of the year. Simply put, it's a big house for a big family.
Typical installations end at the facade. Music, lights, and outdoor heaters are then controlled by separate remotes, apps, and timers—three systems, three different operating logics, and, in a pinch, none of them work when guests are present.
The goal was to find a solution where the outdoor area would have the same comfort and ease of use as the house. In addition, the pools needed to be integrated into the energy management system, rather than operating as uncontrolled consumers. A particular request: The homeowner loves death metal, but the family doesn't. He wants to be able to press a button, and as he walks through the house, the same death metal station should be playing in every room.

Solution
Audio is available throughout the entire building and can be individually controlled in every room—even outside. This is complemented by text-to-speech throughout the house: For example, the building announces which windows are still open, instead of just displaying a symbol in the app. There's even a "Death Metal" button in the app for heavy metal fun ;)
The door and window contacts have multiple functions. They feed into the alarm system, which is further secured by building-wide presence detection. Together with the presence detection, they control the shading. And they provide the basis for the voice output.
For lighting, DALI luxury lighting is implemented throughout the entire building, along with continuous indirect LED lighting and exterior and driveway lighting. Operation is via LOXONE Touch Pure—uniform throughout the entire house.
The outdoor area is a fully integrated part of the installation: several pools connected to the energy management system, smart radiant heaters, access via LOXONE Intercom and NFC, and garden gate and garage door control.

In this property, the house doesn't end at the patio door. Music, lights, heaters, pools—everything outside operates according to the same logic as inside, and the pools are integrated into the energy management system. You can't achieve that with three separate systems and a timer.
