Challenge
In this project, the flexibility of Loxone was very important. It was particularly important to the Red Cross to be able to concentrate on the really important things in daily operations and to leave tasks such as temperature regulation, lighting or ventilation control to Loxone. The air quality in the entire building was to be precisely monitored and controlled. Particular attention should be paid to this in the training room, as a large number of employees are present here. It should also be possible to keep a constant eye on energy costs.
Solution
Two air treatment systems are used to supply fresh air to the various areas of the building. CO2 sensors are distributed throughout the building to measure air quality - air quality is measured in parts per million (ppm). The maximum CO2 values for each area are set via the Loxone app. The exact course of the air quality can be tracked and checked at any time by means of statistics. If the defined ppm limit is reached, the ventilation system is automatically activated and immediately provides fresh air. In order to use the electricity efficiently, a photovoltaic system was installed and integrated into the Loxone Smart Office using the Modbus interface. The self-produced energy thus helps to reduce operating costs. In addition, the interior lighting, escape routes and exterior signs are switched automatically depending on brightness and office hours.
The Red Cross headquarters is a complex project, but it was impressively implemented thanks to good communication and professionalism of all parties involved. We were able to perfectly respond to the needs of the client and provide full control of the building. Loxone is the perfect solution to unite all the devices in the building and make the whole thing intelligent.
