Farm 'Berry Land'

Challenge

The farm's greenhouses, warehouses, residential building and the like are equipped with a total of more than 2,000 PV modules that can produce almost 600 kWh of electricity at peak times. The yield of this huge plant must be reliably managed.

Solution

A good 20% of the yield is to be consumed as optimally as possible. The rest is fed into the public grid. In addition to setting up an e-mobility infrastructure and optimising self-consumption, the main focus of this project was on peak shaving, i.e. balancing peak loads.

The Loxone system offers extremely high operational reliability and versatile interfaces for integrating third-party products, the use of which was necessary in this case. To optimise self-consumption, we can take into account occupant behaviour data as well as weather data and forecasts. The configuration is the most user-friendly I know of on the market.
