IC House

The project needed to reduce energy consumption without sacrificing comfort, with complete climate and lighting management throughout the home. The heart of the system is the underfloor heating: each of the 14 circuits is controlled by a Loxone Tree valve actuator, so each room receives only the energy it needs. This system needed to work in conjunction with the bathroom radiators, circulation pumps, and five air conditioning units, without interfering with each other. The home still needed to remain simple to live in on a daily basis.

At the heart of the system is a Loxone Miniserver that coordinates the entire system. Eight rooms have independent climate control, based on temperature and humidity sensors installed room by room. Tree valves open and close the floor circuits based on the actual temperature of each room. The floor and radiator pumps activate only when there is a need for heat. A central controller decides when to heat and cool the home, and activates the integrated air conditioning units via radio only where needed. Lighting is managed in eleven zones via DALI and relay extensions, with presence detectors in the passageways. The "Goodnight," "Good Morning," and "Exit" scenarios turn off the lights and adjust the climate throughout the home with a single command. The system is completed by access via NFC keypads, integrated video intercom, and alarm notifications on the electrical panel.
