Daylight control

Challenge

The owners of the new building were looking for a way to work effectively with natural daylight. The goal was to provide enough light in the interior for visual comfort, but at the same time prevent the rooms from overheating in the summer months and minimize energy losses in the winter.

Solution

Installation of a Loxone system that automatically controls the external blinds based on the position of the sun, the indoor temperature and the weather station. In summer, the system shades the interior to prevent overheating, while in winter it uses the sun's rays for passive heating. Everything is linked to the internal lighting, which is activated only when the intensity of daylight drops below a set level.

We chose Loxone for this project because of its ability to autonomously respond to current light conditions. For the client, this means they don't have to worry about shading at all - the house knows when to let the sun in and when to shade it, to maintain a stable climate and maximum comfort.
