Challenge
The main objective of the project is the comprehensive automation of a healthcare/clinic center to maximize energy efficiency, medical functionality, and the comfort of patients and staff. The technical priority was to achieve exhaustive control of energy consumption through real-time monitoring of the highest-consumption loads (two 400 kW chillers and all electrical sub-panels).
At an operational level, the project aimed to integrate intelligent lighting and climate control management adapted to the specific use of each area (consulting rooms, common areas, endoscopy suite, and recovery room), respecting the client's aesthetic preferences by integrating Legrand Mosaic series fixtures within an advanced, centralized building automation system.

Solution
To meet the building's technical and functional requirements, a centralized solution based on Loxone was designed, integrating lighting, climate control, and energy metering management on a single platform:
Energy Management and Monitoring:
Continuous and individualized measurement of the electrical consumption of the two 400 kW chillers.
Comprehensive and individual monitoring of all electrical sub-panels in the building to detect deviations, analyze consumption patterns, and optimize energy expenditure.
Intelligent Infrastructure and Lighting (DALI):
Integration of Mechanisms: All lighting is managed using the DALI protocol. To maintain the aesthetic chosen by the owners (Legrand Mosaic pushbuttons), DALI input modules were installed behind the pushbuttons, acting as interfaces between the traditional mechanism and the digital bus.
Querying: Presence-based lighting control combined with constant light dimming (natural light utilization), while maintaining the possibility of manual override by a specialist at all times.
Specialized and rest areas: Individualized control of headboards in the recovery room (REA) and dedicated lighting scenes for the endoscopy suite.
Courtesy and nighttime lighting: Programming of nighttime/nighttime lighting scenes for minimal staff traffic and RGBW control in the entrance/reception area for courtesy lighting and corporate ambiance.
Automated and zoned climate control:
Common areas: Control via time-based programming according to the center's activity.
Consultations: Activation of climate setpoints linked to occupancy sensors to avoid heating unoccupied spaces.
Setpoint adjustment: The system uses a fixed general temperature for the entire building as a reference, but allows users in each room to locally adjust the setpoint within a range of ±2 °C to ensure individual comfort.
