Smart homes in the classroom.
Three good reasons.

Buildings are becoming smarter

Building automation is in greater demand than ever. And so are people who understand it. Give your students the knowledge that will count tomorrow.

Bringing technology to life

Energy efficiency, digitalisation and networked systems are becoming a reality – not as dry theory, but as a real-life project.

Straight from real-world experience

Hardware, software and apps work together seamlessly within a single system. For applications used on a daily basis in modern buildings.

Learning by doing

Free Software

Includes ongoing updates. Learners plan, configure, and test automations on a PC – and experience the results immediately in the app.

Online Documentation

Video tutorials and materials are freely available. Teachers can also attend the LOXONE Foundation Training course free of charge.

Today’s projects. A head start for tomorrow.

QUOTE

“While looking for new training content in 2011, I came across LOXONE and purchased a Miniserver for my own home. It was clear to me that LOXONE had to be included in our training curriculum. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous terms offered. Over the past few years, several exciting diploma and final projects have been completed using LOXONE. The practical training sessions and the support provided to teachers for their own smart home projects create ideal synergies.”

“In Landshut, we provide training in building automation using LOXONE – covering everything from apprenticeships to master craftsman courses – and the system has long been an established part of the curriculum at our technical high school as well. LOXONE Qualification Training has been a fixture of our professional development program for three and a half years. What impresses us most is the reliable support from the LOXONE team and a product portfolio that is constantly expanding. We look forward to many more years of working together.”

QUOTE

“We were LOXONE’s first cooperation partner. Since this field aligns perfectly with our school’s curriculum, we converted a laboratory for this purpose. Several of our graduates are now employed by LOXONE, and numerous projects have been successfully implemented. Expert training sessions for our third-year mechatronics and information technology students are held annually in Kollerschlag. I would urge all educational institutions to consider LOXONE, as they are an exceptionally reliable partner and indispensable to modern technology.”

Knowledge that endures.

Benefit from our educational offerings*.

*Our special educational offer applies exclusively to public vocational schools, technical colleges and universities, as well as educational institutions (such as Wifi, BFI, and Chambers of Crafts and Trades) that administer official examinations – including apprenticeship completion, journeyman, and master craftsman exams – and equip laboratory workstations for these purposes.

How the collaboration works

1. Intended use

The components listed in Point 2 shall be used exclusively for training purposes in the educational facility’s laboratory for a period of at least three years. Any change in the intended use requires the express written consent of LOXONE. Any use of the components in violation of the contract entitles LOXONE to declare this agreement terminated immediately and to invoice the full difference relative to the list price.

2. Components

The subject of this agreement is the listed components under the educational institution’s customer account, marked “Laboratory workstation equipment.”

3. Marketing Measures

The following marketing measures are desired and should be implemented depending on the educational institution’s capabilities:

to be carried out by the educational institution:

  • roll-up banner set up at the educational center
  • inclusion of a link to LOXONE on the website
  • open for other schools to schedule visits to the laboratory workstations
  • free advertisements from LOXONE in the school newspaper or job postings on the notice board

to be carried out by LOXONE:

  • Blog post introducing the educational institution, including contact details.
  • Online listing as a Loxone-certified educational institution
  • Distribution via social media channels to thousands of fans
  • Provision of fan shirts for trained teachers
  • Provision of promotional materials (magazines, cubes, roll-up banners, stickers, etc.)
4. LOXONE Foundation Training

The educational institution commits to ensuring that instructors teaching in the laboratory complete the LOXONE basic training course.

Training for instructors teaching in the laboratory is provided free of charge by one of our top trainers on-site at the educational institution following the completion of the laboratory workstations. A total of three full days of training are included at no cost and are scheduled with LOXONE as needed.

Travel expenses to and from the training location are billed based on actual costs incurred. The Kollerschlag location serves as the starting point for travel expense calculations.

Teacher training is provided in two variants:

Option 1: Attending a public LOXONE training course (a must-visit)

  • Teachers who conduct laboratory instruction and were unable to attend the on-site training at the educational facility are entitled to participate in public LOXONE training sessions free of charge.
  • NO additional requirements

Option 2: On-site in the educational institution’s laboratory (in exceptional cases)

  • The minimum number of participants for the training is 5 people.
  • Travel expenses are to be borne by the client.
  • Full board and a hotel room with free internet access for the trainer must be provided by the client.
  • Training takes place from Monday to Tuesday (for travel times of 3 hours or more, arrival is on Sunday and departure on Wednesday).
5. Acceptance of laboratory workstations by LOXONE
  • Upon completion of the laboratory workstations, this must be reported to LOXONE.
  • A LOXONE employee will inspect and accept the installation on-site at the educational facility, following the scheduling of an appointment.
  • As part of this acceptance process, a brief demonstration lesson conducted by a trained teacher is desired.
  • The scope of inclusion in instruction:
    • Number of hours
    • Key areas of the learning content

The retrofitting of additional laboratory workstations or the expansion of existing ones must be documented (with a photo) and reported to LOXONE within 30 days of delivery.
