The main difference between our new AI Extension (100471) and the AI Extension Gen.1 (100381) is obvious at first glance. Where previously you had 4 analogue inputs for 0-10V or 4 digital inputs, the new AI Extension additionally contains 4 analogue inputs for 0/4-20mA signals. These increase the measuring accuracy, depending on the application, especially over longer distances. When it comes to commercial building automation, 4-20mA analogue signals are commonly used.
You can now use a total of 8 analogue inputs of which up to four can be used for 0-10VDC and the other four for 0/4-20mA – giving you the flexibility to integrate temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc. The 0-10V inputs can also be used as digital inputs (24VDC). Although we’ve made these improvements, the AI Extension stays the same size!
The AI Extension Gen.1 (100381) is still available while stocks last. You can pre-order the new AI Extension now which should become available in the UK for shipping from July 2022.
