Hotel Sonnhof: A Luxury Loxone Hotel
Hotel Sonnhof offers guests the ultimate relaxation experience in the midst of the Salzburg mountains. Loxone technology has been used in this project to complement the picturesque views and facilities to create a unique ambience and an intelligent building that is simple to manage.
What has been implemented?
The following functions have been completely automated at Hotel Sonnhof:
- Lighting control with Presence/Motion Sensors and DALI devices. The lights can also be switched on and off centrally with just one tap on a switch. With a double-tap, the room lights up brightly for the cleaning staff.
- Heating control to ensure the perfect temperature and climate in relaxation rooms plus in the shower and pool areas.
- Intelligent monitoring of the pool and the ventilation system in the plant room where the chlorine is mixed in. If any faults are detected these are immediately relayed to the staff via a push notification.
- Emergency calls from hotels guests using the sauna are also sent to the staff via the Miniserver. Allowing the first aid responder to act quickly.
The hotel owners saw it as very important that the reception staff had simply and convenient control on their smartphones. For them, visible switches in communal areas were an absolute no go. The Partner on this project recommended Loxone based on their previous positive experiences. They know that because Loxone offers numerous interfaces, it’s extremely flexible – making it the ideal solution for the automation of hotel facilities.
Loxone Partner: Sänze
From hotels and chalets to bank branches and country house villas – Loxone Gold Partner Sänze has undertaken a range of exciting projects of all kinds. Their services include project planning, installation and support and after care on any of their systems. Here they shared their personal highlights from the Hotel Sonnhof project:
For hotel owners, it is extremely practical that the entire spa area can be set to the right lighting mood at the touch of a button. The same goes for the cleaning staff; with a double-tap, the whole area is brightly lit and then with a triple-tap, everything is turned off. Another highlight is the automated fault messages. In the plant room, where the chlorine is mixed, the ventilation is monitored closely by a pressure sensor. In the event of a fault, our technician is warned before entering the room.
