LOXONE Wallbox
A smart solution for charging electric cars
At home, outside the workplace
or in hospitality settings.
These features make your e-mobility smart
Keeps track of costs and consumption.
In the LOXONE App, you can see your current energy consumption whilst charging and view your total consumption by day, week, month or year.
Delivers reliably.
If several Wallboxes are charging at the same time, the Wallbox Manager automatically distributes the available power so that the fuse is not overloaded, which would interrupt the charging process.
Load it however you like.
Up to 5 custom charging modes can be set up; typical examples include:
Priority
Charges your vehicle at the maximum available power.
Comfort
Battery-friendly charging over a definable period of time.
Eco
It makes the most of surplus solar energy and low electricity tariffs.
How to know who’s charging?
If the Wallbox is equipped with an NFC Code Touch, anyone can log in whilst charging – which is handy if several people share a car or a wallbox. In a business setting, this can be used directly for billing purposes.
Calculates automatically.
Charging time, energy consumption and costs are assigned to the relevant person following registration via NFC.
In this way, companies can automatically record company car charging sessions for their fleet, rental companies can bill tenants for electricity used per tenant, and in staff car parks, each charging session can be attributed to the correct person.
Stay flexible.
Particularly handy for businesses wishing to make their Wallbox available to guests: using the open OCPP standard (version 1.6 or 2.0.1), users can log in to NFC Code Touch with their own charging card.
Even more features with LOXONE energy management
The LOXONE Wallbox is smart in its own right. When used in conjunction with your energy management system, it becomes even more efficient.

Loading Price-optimised
With dynamic electricity tariffs, your car charges automatically when electricity is at its cheapest.

Uses surplus PV energy
If more solar power is generated than is currently needed, many systems reduce the amount fed into the grid – and the surplus is lost. Your energy management system automatically directs it to the wallbox instead.

It's up to you
You decide whether to heat the storage tank first, then the car or the hot water – LOXONE takes care of the rest.
Protects your mains connection
Several large appliances running at the same time can push the mains supply to its limits. The LOXONE Load Manager detects this automatically and, if necessary, switches off individual appliances before an overload occurs.
Avoids peak loads
Depending on their size, businesses pay not only the energy charge (per kilowatt-hour, kWh, consumed) but also a hefty capacity charge (per kW). If, over the course of the year, you experience even a single quarter-hour of extremely high peak demand (e.g. due to the simultaneous start-up of machinery, air-conditioning systems or charging infrastructure), this peak value will be used to calculate the capacity charge.
Wallbox Products
Wallbox Tree
The Wallbox Tree is available in three power ratings: from 1.38 to 7.4 kW, from 1.38 to 11 kW, or with dynamic charging from 4.1 to 22 kW – depending on the connection and your requirements.
Wallbox Air
The Wallbox Air is available in two versions (11 kW 16 A and 7.4 kW 32 A) and enables dynamic charging from 1.38 to 11 kW – without the need for any additional cabling.
NFC Code Touch
Particularly handy in a business setting: it registers each person contactlessly via a chip or card.
Touch Pure Flex
Choose between different charging modes directly on the Wallbox – for example, Eco, Comfort or Priority.
Energy Meter 3-Phase Tree
The basis for cost reporting, consumption statistics and automatic billing.
Accessories
From the charging cable to the mounting frame – everything else extra you may need for your Wallbox.
FAQs
What does a Wallbox do?
A Wallbox is the convenient way to charge your electric car – at home or at work. It charges faster and more safely than a standard socket.
Do I need a Wallbox at home?
If you regularly charge your electric car at home, a Wallbox makes everyday life much easier. You can charge safely, more quickly and exactly when it suits you best.
With LOXONE energy management, it charges automatically using surplus solar power or at the cheapest electricity tariff – without you having to do a thing.
Can I charge more than one electric car?
Yes. The LOXONE Wallbox Manager automatically distributes the available power across all connected Wallboxes without overloading the fuse. Ideal for private households with several vehicles, as well as for vehicle fleets or tenant electricity schemes with multiple charging points. However, even if only one Wallbox is installed, different drivers can be identified via code or NFC authentication and billed separately (in addition to the LOXONE Wallbox, the NFC Code Touch is required for this).
How does automatic billing for charging sessions work?
The Miniserver is sufficient for a single Wallbox – charging sessions are automatically logged and, for example, sent out monthly as a CSV file via email. If there are several Wallboxes or locations, LOXONE Exosphere handles it centrally, recording and analysing the data – including timestamps, energy consumption and user IDs.
Can I charge my electric car directly using solar power?
Yes, with LOXONE Energy Management, your car can be charged automatically using surplus solar power. The charging power adjusts to the amount of energy available. This allows you to make the most of the electricity you generate yourself, without any manual intervention.
Can LOXONE prevent the mains connection from becoming overloaded?
Yes, the Load Manager monitors the building’s total energy consumption and, if necessary, switches off individual appliances in order of priority before the mains supply becomes overloaded – provided that these appliances can be switched on and off via the Miniserver, for example via a Relay or a smart actuator for the cooker or heating system. This usually requires an existing LOXONE installation that goes beyond the Wallbox.
The Wallbox Manager already offers a simpler form of this protection: if several Wallboxes are in use, it distributes the available power across all of them so that their shared circuit breaker does not trip due to overload and interrupt the charging process – this is particularly relevant in commercial and appartment buildings, where multiple Wallboxes are more common.
Is a wallbox worth it with a dynamic electricity tariff?
Yes. With LOXONE Energy Management, your electric car charges automatically when electricity is particularly cheap. Taking the example of a Cupra Born (77 kWh battery, 25 kWh daily charging requirement), those same 25 kWh cost €6.90 on the most expensive tariff, but only €1.15 on the cheapest – a saving of around 80 per cent.
Your Wallbox. Your Electric Mobility.
Whether it’s your own home, a vehicle fleet or a rental property – we’ll help you find the right solution. Automatically controlled. Optimally charged.
