How does Loxone's AC solution work?
The brain of every Loxone installation is the Miniserver. For controlling ACs, the Miniserver Go is all you need. The power supply is connected to a wall socket, the Miniserver Go is connected to a Router with a LAN cable – and you’re good to go. The AC Control Air is installed directly within the unit of the AC system.
The Miniserver and the AC Control Air communicate via our very own radio technology Loxone Air, which is optimised for building automation – reliable, secure and fast.
Do I need additional cables or wiring?
No. The AC Control Air is mounted directly in the air conditioning system and powered by it. The Miniserver Go only requires a standard power socket and a connection to a router.
What does a partnership with Loxone mean for me?
No contract is required for a partnership with Loxone. Being a Loxone Partner is free and brings lots of benefits, such as exclusive discounts and trainings.
However, we have outlined our principles for a successful cooperation in our Partner Guidelines. By registering as a Partner, you confirm your compliance with these guidelines, which aim for a fair business partnership. Otherwise, we focus on transparency in the Partner Program and treat all Partners equally in terms of Partner statuses and conditions.

Can I control an existing air conditioning system smartly?
Yes, it doesn’t matter whether an air conditioning system has been running for years or is new.
Which air conditioning systems can be controlled smartly?
Single and multi-split devices from Daikin, Fujitsu, Gree, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Sinclair, Toshiba and LG can be integrated using the Loxone AC Control Air. You can use the model number to check here whether your air conditioning system is supported.
Which spot market electricity suppliers are supported?
Thanks to the direct connection to European and national electricity exchanges, all suppliers are supported.
Do I need to be a certified electrician to install it?
No. Our portfolio has a broad variety of products which can be installed by non-electricians – especially regarding smart AC. All you need is the AC Control Air – which is installed within the AC itself – and the Miniserver Go – which only needs a wall socket for power.
For more comprehensive control, e.g. presence-based automation or weather-responsive operation including forecast, we have a lot of products powered with batteries. We will do some background checks to make sure your company qualifies, ensuring that our products are installed to the highest standards, but once you qualify then you are good to go.
