Living in an almost self-sufficient single-family home

The PV system on Panoramaweg was connected to the grid in March 2022. A key component of the system is a 20 kWh battery storage system, which supplies the house with the necessary energy at night or during periods of low PV production. A control system is required for the system to communicate with the house and its consumption and to distribute the loads to a greater extent.

Loxone's automation solution was used for this project. Loads such as the heat pump, electric car charging station, and dishwasher are controlled in a load-optimized manner. The charging station, also supplied by Loxone, is even dynamic. Users can easily configure whether the car is charged at full power (11 kW) or optimized using surplus PV energy using the loxone app.
