Challenge
A key challenge in the electrical installation of a joint residential and commercial building lies in the different uses of the different areas: While residential areas are more focused on comfort, security, and energy efficiency, commercial areas often require more complex performance, network technology, and flexibility. Aligning both areas to a common supply concept, adhering to strict standards, and coordinating with other trades places high demands on planning, execution, and scheduling.
Solution
The LOXONE solution enabled an intelligent and flexible electrical installation that meets the requirements of both the residential and commercial areas.
The use of the LOXONE Miniserver enabled central control of all relevant systems – from lighting and shading to heating, air conditioning and access control.
In the residential area, automation ensures maximum comfort and energy efficiency – for example, through daylight-dependent lighting control, an automatic shading system, and a presence-controlled heating system.
In the commercial area, LOXONE enables user-friendly control of the work environment, timer programs for lighting and air conditioning, and flexible adaptation to changing usage concepts.
The system also facilitates remote maintenance and visualization, which reduces maintenance effort and gives the operator a constant overview of energy flows and system status.
The scalable LOXONE technology thus represents a future-proof, energy-efficient, and user-friendly solution – perfectly tailored to the mixed use of the building.
