Challenge
Intelligent automation is not limited to new constructions or large buildings. It can also be used in smaller projects. Specifically, in Štavnik, the owners of the weekend cottage needed to find a way to remotely control the heating and regularly temper individual rooms. So that they don't have to worry about anything upon arrival and arrive warm. Loxone helped them with this, which facilitated their operation and enabled remote control.
Solution
The owners wanted simple remote heating on and off. Since the classic wiring was done, Loxone Partner used Loxone Air wireless technology. In the cottage, the mode of the gas boiler and the radiators in the rooms are controlled using heads. In the upstairs bathroom, Loxone also controls electric underfloor heating. Later, the owners decided to extend the control to also include lighting, which is controlled in the entrance hall, on the staircase and on the first floor.
Intelligent automation allowed us to remotely turn on the heating in the weekend house so that we arrived at an already heated house. If we forget to turn it off when leaving after our stay, the automation will take care of it. This saves money on heating. The automatic switching on of the light based on movement in the corridor, on the stairs and in the toilet is pleasant. In night mode, only dim light is turned on, which is very pleasant. Through the application, we can heat and know what the temperature is in individual rooms. We also have an overview of whether the windows of the house are closed. In the future, we would like to expand the system to control the irrigation of the garden.
