Villa MUSTANG

In a villa with a spectacular view of the medieval city of Carcassonne, the challenge was to manage the various building systems efficiently while offering tenants maximum comfort. An entire floor is dedicated to the rental rooms, which require careful management of energy resources and equipment to ensure their proper operation, even remotely. The owner wanted to be able to control the lighting both elegantly and efficiently, optimizing the use of openings to maximize solar gain while ensuring the security of the rented spaces. In addition, the indoor climate was to be regulated via a duct system and consoles, logged in KNX. Smooth management of the multi-room music and secure access control for the tenants were also key aspects of the planning.

To meet the challenges in the villa, we worked with Loxone to implement a comprehensive solution that seamlessly integrates various systems.



The lighting is controlled by classic wall controls as well as architecturally designed touch controls, allowing atmospheric accents to be set and energy wastage to be avoided. Sensors ensure that the windows are closed or opened as required and optimize solar gain. The indoor climate is regulated via a duct system and consoles connected via KNX. These systems are designed to provide optimum comfort while saving energy.



Music is broadcast throughout the villa in several rooms, with loudspeakers also emitting sirens for security. Access is managed by a video doorman and code keypads. API-controlled Nuki locks enable remote control of the opening and closing of doors. In addition, communication with the inverter optimizes the use of solar energy for air conditioning and water heating.
