300 m² Villa in the Hills of Grenoble: A Renovation + A Truly Smart Home (Loxone)

As part of a complete renovation and extension of a 300 m² villa, the owners wanted a home that could manage its daily functions "automatically," with two priorities: comfort and energy efficiency.

The goal wasn't to add gadgets, but to create a coherent, reliable, and user-friendly system.

Automation Scope:

- Interior and exterior lighting control
- Automation of 26 openings (external blinds and shutters)
- Heating/cooling control across 16 zones
- Hot water production management
- Photovoltaic monitoring and optimization
- Automatic irrigation across 9 zones
- Gate control
- Security: intrusion and fire detection via sensors

A home that constantly adapts

Intelligent shading (26 openings)
The external blinds and shutters adjust automatically according to the sun's position thanks to the intelligence of the Miniserver:
Summer: limiting overheating and immediate comfort
Winter: maximizing solar gain
Each room retains simple manual control via Touch.

Indoor climate (16 zones)
Underfloor heating and cooling are controlled zone by zone with thermostatic radiator valves and Touch temperature sensors in each room: each space has its own logic, its own use, its own comfort… without overconsumption.

Autonomous irrigation (9 zones)
The irrigation valves are managed automatically according to the season, the weather (roof-mounted station), and the water level with the Loxone level sensor (recovery tank + small spring). The result: an optimized garden without waste.

Lighting & Ambiance
The entire house (interior/exterior) is controlled by Loxone, with room-specific features including: dimming, scenarios, and even circadian rhythm control for maximum visual comfort. Automatic exterior lighting after dusk.

Energy: Produce, Monitor, Orient
Precise monitoring of energy consumption and photovoltaic production, with priority given to using energy for domestic hot water and the irrigation pump. A quick glance at free solar energy is all it takes for a moment thanks to an RGB indicator in the kitchen.

Self-consumption is truly utilized, without you even thinking about it.

Integrated Security
Sensors (presence and temperature via Touch) also trigger intrusion/fire scenarios and enhance "away" management.

Simple Controls Designed for Everyday Use
A Touch in each room (lighting + window/door control + temperature/humidity feedback), and a Touch Flex in the kitchen to centralize the main functions. Control both gates from the central kitchen using the Touch Flex.
