Dormitory Gonsenheimer Spieß

Challenge

This four-story student residence is located in Mainz-Gosenheim. The building has 32 student apartments and a few common rooms. Loxone controls the heating and lighting in the individual rooms.

Solution

The Loxone Valve Actuator makes intelligent room-based temperature control possible. This means that heating and cooling energy can be used optimally. In combination, the Loxone Door & Window Contact reliably detects whether the windows in the room are open. If an open window is registered, the Loxone system turns down the heating in the respective room if desired.

The lighting was also integrated into the Loxone system. The rooms are equipped with LED Ceiling Lights. The attached Loxone Touch can be used to control lighting and more. A double click on the Loxone Touch, for example, signals that the room is being left. This means: the lights go off and the heating also turns down.

Energy consumption is usually very high, especially in larger, multi-story buildings. The Loxone system ensures that a lot of energy can be saved with intelligent control. At the same time, it also ensures more comfort in everyday life.

The energy consumption of the building could be reduced by 70% with the insulation measures and the intelligent control. Very fast implementation possible through the Loxone overall system
