Smart Care Center Fondation Saphir

The Fondation Saphir care center was designed specifically to meet the needs of older adults and individuals with neurocognitive impairments. In addition to tailored architecture, a technical solution was required that would accommodate diverse daily needs, support staff in their work, and simultaneously ensure safe, energy-efficient building operations. At the same time, the system needed to remain flexible enough to adapt to future requirements.

In collaboration with ESENCIAL ENERGIES, a flexible and scalable building automation system was implemented using Loxone. Heating and cooling, lighting, shading, access control, and energy management operate within a unified system and offer intuitive controls.

Room temperatures can be individually adjusted, shading and lighting controlled according to needs, and access easily managed. Presence detectors and controls in each room ensure comfortable and efficient operation. At the same time, the integration of the photovoltaic system contributes to optimized energy usage.

The system has also been designed to allow for the future integration of additional functions, such as audio systems or further solutions to support and ensure the safety of the residents.
