Smart Garden Lighting with Koi Pond

As part of a full property renovation, the homeowners wanted to transform their newly landscaped garden into an intelligent outdoor living space, with a large koi pond as its centrepiece. The lighting needed to enhance the garden after dark, create flexible entertaining scenes, and form the first phase of a future whole-home LOXONE installation. With all control equipment located within the pond plant room, the system also had to operate reliably in a high-humidity environment while maintaining seamless communication with the main house.

Using a Miniserver Go and RGBW Dimmer Airs, multiple lighting zones including pond lighting, feature lighting, step lighting, and landscaped LED strips were integrated into one cohesive system. Automated sunset and sunrise operation, mood lighting scenes, holiday mode, scheduled events, and smartphone control allow the garden to adapt effortlessly to any occasion.

Carefully protected control equipment and a dedicated Ethernet connection ensure reliable long-term performance despite the challenging environment.
