Smart Office & Showroom

We needed an office. We also needed somewhere customers could experience LOXONE rather than be shown a brochure. So we made one unit do both jobs honestly: a working office our team occupies every day, which is also a live installation any customer can walk in and operate themselves.

A Miniserver Compact runs the building. RGBW 24V Dimmer Trees drive RGBW strip in the entrance and showroom and tunable white strip in the offices; warm white PWM spots light the showroom ceiling, with Slim PWM pendants over the seating area. A Dimmer Extension takes care of the 240V circuits - track spots in the office, ceiling spots at the entrance. The RGBW strip runs any colour on demand: it is set to LOXONE green in these photographs, and one Touch takes the showroom to warm white for a working day or deep blue for a film. The office lighting is daylight-controlled and shifts colour temperature through the day, so the light follows the time rather than the switch. Presence Sensors cover the circulation areas and the workshop.

A Relay Extension handles shading, heating and ventilation. Blinds run automatically, overridden from the App or a Touch Pure Flex. Electric radiators switch on the same extension, with room temperatures read from the sensors built into the Touch switches - every room runs independently, and there is not a separate thermostat in the building. The WC extract fan and the workshop roller shutter door run from it too. An AC Control Air brings a Daikin split into the same room logic, so heating and cooling are decided together rather than fighting each other, and an Energy Meter 1-Phase Tree meters the incoming supply.

An Audioserver covers three zones: a reception speaker, an office speaker, and the showroom, where two floor-standers pair with ceiling-flush Install Speaker 7" Master and Client units and an Install Sub 10" Client. An RS232 Extension integrates a Texecom alarm panel directly into the Miniserver, so security runs on the same logic and in the same App as everything else. Entry is through a LOXONE Intercom on the rendered elevation.

Wired and wireless run side by side by design: Touch Tree and Touch Pure Flex IP44 Tree on Tree, with Presence Sensor Air, Smart Socket Air and the Daikin's AC Control Air alongside them. For anyone weighing up a retrofit in a solid-walled property, seeing both work in one building is the most useful thing we can show them - and this rendered, solid-walled unit is exactly that.
