Challenge

The owner bought an old apartment that needed a renovation, and because she already had experience with LOXONE from her family home, she decided to use it for this apartment as well.

Solution

As the apartment was completely renovated, including the floors, heating cables were chosen as the heating method, which is an ideal combination with LOXONE. For a better overview of the energy used, each heating circuit is measured. The owner likes to put up with a pleasant atmosphere and therefore perfect backlighting just to complete the whole atmosphere. Therefore, mainly LED tape is used in cornices and plasterboard ceilings. In addition, a fan is controlled in the bathroom, which regulates the humidity in the room together with the heated towel rail.

I already have a smart electrical installation in my second home and I can't praise it enough. I especially appreciate the possibility to comfortably control everything from the app, whether it is the lighting and mood in the room, ventilation or temperature. In addition, I can find clear statistics or additional function settings in the app. Already during the renovation, a smart button came in handy, on which it was possible to select scenes and with the help of a single switch to control, for example, the lighting in the entire apartment. My favourite features are double-click when leaving to turn off all lights at once, or the timer I use for my bedtime light. I was very satisfied with the LOXONE Partner install, especially because he can figure out things that I would not have thought of (apart from a thousand little things, such as saving space by moving the switchboard to the basement). Like me, he likes precise, high-quality equipment, and I think that thanks to our shared vision, we managed to come up with a lot of great things in the apartment to make the most of it.
