Challenge
Unstable electricity and gas prices have a large impact on the maintenance costs of service and commercial buildings. Investors are looking for comprehensive solutions that will be able to ensure the economical operation of facilities. This was also the case for the mini-gallery in Lublin.
Solution
Thanks to renewable energy sources and intelligent management, it was possible to create a competitive facility that offers lower operating costs for tenants and affordable prices for customers.
From March to mid-November 2022, not a single additional emission source (cogeneration units, heat pumps, gas boilers) has been launched yet. All the thermal energy that is currently consumed is produced by heat recovery and solar collectors.
Loxone automation in a shopping centre reduced the monthly cost of energy consumption by 15%. This is a saving of approx. PLN 55,000 per year. The investment in the intelligent system paid off within a year.

We chose Loxone because it offers a comprehensive solution. Contrary to appearances, there are not as many systems on the market for energy management in such a complicated way as in our building. Devices such as furnaces, heat pumps, solar panels, cogeneration, recovery are really complicated infrastructure and mechanics that must be managed by the system efficiently and without failures so that the facility can function unattended. After the first tests and evaluation, Loxone met our expectations. It is possible that if we develop the building with further investment ideas in the future, we will also expand our Loxone system.
