Challenge
The owner of the PRODERM Dermatology, Aesthetic Medicine and Skin Surgery Centre had a clear vision of creating a place that would not only be functional, but also modern and comfortable. The key element was to ensure the stability of the systems and the ability to manage all aspects of the facility's operation from one place. This solution was intended to facilitate the daily work of the staff and provide maximum comfort to patients visiting the centre.
Solution
Bifam, the company responsible for the project, chose the Loxone system, which proved to be the perfect choice to meet all of the business owner's expectations. Using a single, holistic automation system to manage the entire facility allowed for the creation of a coherent and efficient system that integrates all key functions.
1) Access control and alarm system:
A numeric keypad was installed at the entrance to the centre, which allows access using a code or NFC tag. Patients can also use the doorbell, which is integrated with the audio system at the reception, enabling immediate staff response. After authorisation, the system automatically disarms the alarm and activates ambient lighting, creating a friendly atmosphere from the start.
2) Emergency power supply and reliability:
An important element of the entire system is protection against power failure. Thanks to the use of a dedicated Power Supply & Backup power supply and batteries, all system modules are provided with emergency power. In the event of a power cut, the LED strips can be activated, which prevents the facility from being completely dark.
3) Intelligent lighting and temperature control:
Presence sensors have been installed throughout the facility, which automatically controls the lighting in common areas such as corridors, waiting rooms and toilets. Touch Pure buttons have been used in the appointment
rooms, which allow for manual control of the light, which is particularly important during surgical procedures. Additionally, these buttons have built-in temperature sensors, which, in combination with Valve Actuators on the radiators, allow for precise control of the heating in each room. The ability to create heating schedules that adapt to the presence of people in the rooms significantly increases the energy efficiency of the facility.
4) Audio system and security:
Quadral speakers have been installed in each room, which are managed by the Audioserver in the Loxone system. Background music makes the time more pleasant for patients both in the waiting room and during procedures in the appointment rooms. The audio system also serves as a warning - if flooding is detected by sensors placed in critical points, the system automatically cuts off the water supply and audibly informs users about the situation. This function is also integrated with the alarm system, where in the event of a break-in the speakers take over the role of an alarm siren, emitting an intense sound.

The owner of the facility was primarily concerned with the stablility of system operation and the management of all elements using a single controller. The choice could only fall on one control system from Loxone.
