Challenge
The port of La Grande Motte, one of the most important marinas in the Mediterranean, set itself the goal of improving energy management and water consumption and installing real-time monitoring of the condition of its infrastructure. With a strong commitment to ecological transition, the port authority needed a solution to monitor, analyze and optimize consumption and quickly identify potential anomalies. The main challenge was to implement a modern infrastructure capable of communicating with existing meters and sensors while using resources already available, such as fiber optics.
Solution
To meet these requirements, we installed two Loxone Miniservers, each housed in a fiber-connected HVT (low-voltage main distribution board) to the west and east of the port. This infrastructure enables the collection of electricity and water consumption data in real time and the monitoring of the operating status of electrical circuits. The retrieved data is then made available via an API, facilitating analysis and integration into port management systems. This solution not only enables the detection of consumption abnormalities, but also the optimization of resources for a lower environmental impact.
Thanks to this special application, building automation installation, we have a better overview of our energy and water consumption, which allows us to better anticipate demand and react quickly in the event of a malfunction. This solution fits perfectly with our commitment to a sustainable and responsible use of resources, while simplifying the maintenance of our infrastructures.
