Challenge
The Bulbroi Energy Photovoltaic Park, located in Căușeni with a capacity of 950 kW, required a highly reliable and fully integrated automation and monitoring system. The key challenges included:
- Providing real-time monitoring of all photovoltaic equipment (inverters, breakers, transformers, surge arresters, and fuses).
- Ensuring secure access control and remote monitoring for the site.
- Integrating security and surveillance systems (Loxone + HikVision) into a single user-friendly platform.
- Connecting CCTV cameras that were initially incompatible with Loxone.
- Maintaining optimal climate control in the technical room to protect battery systems and equipment.
- Monitoring High Voltage 10k V Transformer to High Voltage Line, and give notification in case of error.
- Collecting data every day and store to external Storage for keeping history, and big data analysis
- Monitoring finance data for compare between prognose and actual production. Make graph for this data to monitor the difference from prodcution and prognostics.

Solution
Smart Tech Innovation designed and implemented a complete automation ecosystem powered by Loxone:
- Photovoltaic Monitoring: Real-time tracking of production, performance ratios, and system health, with automated alerts for faults or anomalies. For this we connected to the 10 inverters from SMA, and collecting all data regarding production, errors, warnings. For each error dependes on the level of importance we send to the customer or tehnician a notification or a call.
- Acces & Security: Integration of intercom with nfc, code-base entry, and automated alarm management. We also integrated Hikvision system to work toghether with Loxone alarm, and minimise the number of apps from client smartphone. Gates and pedestrian doors can now be controlled remotly, or throught special security codes for alarm functions.
- Hybrid Security System: Seamless integration of Loxone devices with the HikVision DS-PWA64-L-WE and motion sensor, allowing arming/ disarming via both the mobile app and physical switches.
- CCTV Integration: A custom Python-based stream retransmision solution made previously incompatible cameras accessible directly in the Loxone App.
- Energy Efficiency & Climate Control: Mitsubishi AC units are automated to maintain 19 °C ECO mode to protect batteries, switching to 23 °C comfort mode when presence is detected, and reverting back after 15 minutes of absence.
- Collecting Data and Store: For this with additional PC, we made Python based program with virtual Modbus TCP port opened for sending all important data to store from Loxone. And now all the data are storred localy on extern hard drive for security and analysed for precise financial and reliable analyse for this photovoltaic park.
This integrated solution not only ensures maximum safety and reliability for the photovoltaic park but also delivers real-time insights and optimized energy performance through Loxone’s smart automation.

I chose Loxone for this project because this is a stable Miniserver with reliable external connection, but also for dynamic User Interface and flexible configuration to suport majority of devices on the market. And the Loxone equipement is also beautiful on the pannel!
