The existing nursery was not managed in any way. It was heated according to a mercury thermometer and the height of the heaters and thus the temperature was regulated manually. The ventilation was again controlled manually according to the feeling of the operator. Ventilation was also used to cool overheated spaces during warm days. Frequent operator intervention and temperature and ventilation checks were required.

The Loxone Miniserver takes care of ensuring the optimal temperature, both cooling and heating. Remote access allows values to be checked without having to be on site. In hot weather, the kennel is ventilated more, which cools it down and regulates the operation of the infrared heating.

In the event of a heater malfunction, the insufficient temperature is automatically reported to the nurses.

The thermal comfort of the pheasants improved and the stress of overheating and, conversely, hypothermia decreased. Pheasants are less forced to cross within the heaters and this has calmed down and a smaller percentage of trampling.

Regular ventilation prevents possible suffocation.

The kennel has 5 sections and each is regulated separately.

Overall, the changes resulted in significantly less death.

There was also a significant saving in energy costs, but the main ones are the losses in the lives of the inmates.
