Pasta factory automation

Previously, producing pasta has been done manually, including a worker having to check the temperature and humidity of 9 drying boxes every hour throughout the working day. Then, if the recorded values showed a discrepancy, the heating of the boxes had to be manually adjusted via valves, and/or the fans had to be started to extract moisture. This process carried huge risks because if the drying box was wet for a long period of time or the drying process was too fast, the pasta was ruined - wasting the company's time and money. However, they discovered that Loxone provides the perfect building automation solution to resolve all their long term issues with pasta production at the factory.

Loxone simplified this very demanding challenge by implementing intelligent automation systems. Impressed by the effective yet easy-to-operate solutions, the company immediately decided to implement other technologies into their factory. These include, for example, FVE control, i.e. its energy gain statistics and routing in the event of an excess of the water reservoirs that heat up the drying boxes or production machines. Another great example is the automatic distribution of loose materials across the entire production line. Which, in turn, allowed for the expansion of production from one machine to two - without the need for an operator.

All of the climate control facilities and the security systems in the administrative building are now automated by Loxone.
