Challenge
Palace Apartments is a modern apartment house located in the historical core of Bratislava, in a renovated historical building known as Jesenák Palace. In addition to a view of the city, it also offers luxurious accommodation in fully equipped apartments. The investor's request was to find a simplified solution for the access system both to the entire building and to the apartments. And Loxone fulfilled this request.
Solution
An intelligent access system solution using Loxone helps employees in day-to-day operations. A Loxone Intercom video door entry with an NFC keyboard is located at the entrance gate. The staff simply enters the access code or attaches the NFC tag, which opens the main gate. If someone rings the bell at the gate, the staff will receive an immediate notification via the app and remotely allow the visitor access. After the staff leaves, the last employee closes the gate by entering the code and then the security system is activated.
I have known the client for a long time, thanks to which I knew about his experience from a previous similar project where he decided to use "classic keys", which in the end turned out to be a less than ideal solution. Therefore, in the early phase of the project, I introduced him to the advantages of the Loxone solution, which allowed him to move the project to a higher level thanks to the "keyless" standard for the entire object. Thanks to Loxone's solution, the management of access to the building and apartments has become much easier for the client, in the long term also the saving of operating costs and, last but not least, in the future the possibility of expanding with other components and connecting the system to the reservation system.
