Challenge
The customer's wish was to replace an old, outdated intercom system with a new system with video in order to be informed even when one is not at home.
Solution
The existing analogue intercom system was replaced by a modern Loxone intercom, which now enables communication from anywhere using a mobile phone. A ringtone is also emitted on the existing Apple Homepods via Homekit integration.
Another feature is the subsequently installed access solution using NFC Code Touch. The door can now be opened using a code or NFC and the alarm system can be conveniently activated and deactivated in front of the front door even without a mobile phone.

The simple and elegant design of the intercom convinced both me and the customer. Furthermore, the numerous networking options - in this case with the Apple Homepods - are fun and add value to the investment.
