Challenge
An old bungalow became a very beautiful and modern city villa thanks to a core renovation and an additional floor in timber frame construction.
The demanding customer attached great importance to comfort, security and energy efficiency. In addition, the building should be easy and intuitive to use.

Solution
After a detailed consultation in our smart home model house, the decision was made to control the building with Loxone.
This enabled us to start detailed planning with our customer. In addition to the customer's wishes, the interfaces were coordinated with all other trades such as electricians, heating engineers, lighting planners and of course with the architect in charge.
At the end of the planning, the finished installation plan and the cable list for the electrician were discussed and passed on for execution.
While the electrician laid the necessary cables, the smart home distribution including the basic programming was completed in our workshop and delivered to the construction site on time. After the electrician had installed the cables and we installed our Loxone components, the building could be put into operation quickly.
security
The building has extensive alarm functions. In addition to the networked and integrated fire alarms, a burglar alarm system was also implemented. In addition, storm and frost protection for the external blinds and the electric roof windows was implemented. A special feature is the monitoring of the water level in the cistern. This not only reports the water level for irrigation via the Loxone ultrasonic sensor, but also activates a pump and triggers an alarm if the water level rises too high. Due to the geological conditions, this prevents water from entering the building from the outside.
Access to the building is controlled with the Loxone user administration. In addition to the intercom including NFC Code Touch on the front door, NFC Code Touch devices were also installed on the basement exit and in the garage.
Comfort
All lighting inside and outside the building is controlled with Loxone. In addition to simple, switchable lights, some dimmable 230V lights were also installed. However, most lights can be controlled via the DALI bus and are therefore integrated into Loxone so that they can be dimmed. With the various light scenes and operating modes for the presence detector mood, the customer can quickly and easily select the right lighting mood. In this context, the customer also regularly uses voice control via SIRI.
energy efficiency
The entire individual room temperature control is controlled by the Loxone system. The system works perfectly with the room thermostats in the Touch Pure buttons, Loxone actuators and numerous Nano2 relays for shading and increases the energy efficiency of the building through this intelligent interaction.
Automated irrigation was also programmed in the garden. Various irrigation circuits are controlled as required and depending on past and future reported rainfall, the season and the outside temperature. The plants are always sufficiently watered and the valuable resource is used very efficiently.
The integration of a wall box and PV inverter is already prepared. Together with the sauna, which has also been prepared, intelligent energy and load management can be implemented in the future.
